HELLLLLOOOO My Wonderful – Beautiful Bay Area… The news is out… A number of major banks have volunteered to temporarily suspend foreclosures in 23 states and Bank of America is temporarily suspending foreclosures nationwide…

This situation is changing daily… this is just part of what we know so far… so far only Bank of America has extended its foreclosure moratorium to California, where the vast majority of foreclosures are conducted without a court order… the other 22 states are processed through the court system.  However non-judicial foreclosures in California do have legal requirements that lenders must follow… Other lenders and servicers placing foreclosure moratoriums are… Goldman Sachs Group Inc’s Litton Loan Servicing, Ally Financial Inc‘s GMAC Mortgage unit, JPMorgan Chase and PNC Financial… please keep in mind they are only Temporarily halting the foreclosure process until they have reviewed whether some lenders/servicers were following correct procedures prior to foreclosing on properties.  This is all taking place voluntarily there has not been any mandates by either State or Federal entities. The bigger question is… just how long will it really take to straighten this mess up??!!!

The immediate impact of this moratorium on your transactions may cause delays and may even remove the listed foreclosures.

Lets all hope these latest events will be resolved swiftly to minimize the impact on our housing market in the Bay Area!

Hellllooooo My Beautiful Wonderful Bay Area… How are you all doing?… Today I’d like to bring up Friend-Friends-Friendship… over the course of our lives… there are many many people that cross our paths, some touch our lives in the most unexpected ways… some we only know for a very brief period of time…  I was very blessed and fortunate to meet a woman of great warmth, care and stature but for a very brief period of time… we were only beginning to grow our friendship… this wonderful person Brigitte who always had nothing but warm loving words to share… had a very sudden illness which went into an equally sudden terminal status… was taken from her loving family and all who were touched by her in so many different ways… Brigitte was my Friend… I will miss her dearly… people who exude the warmth, care and friendship she did is sooooo rare these days… she’s someone I will keep in my heart and thoughts forever… I hope you’re blessed with a Friend like Brigitte sometime in your lifetime… 

Her loving Husband Steve told me she wept when she received her first bouquet of flowers from him… not because she didnt like them… she had never received flowers from anyone before… from then on he sent her flowers every Friday no matter what… that was the beginning of their weekend together every Friday…  What I failed to remind him is that Brigitte will always be his bouquet of  flowers… and what a bouquet she was… Cheers Brigitte!!

Helllllloooo My Wonderful Beautiful Bay Area!…  Part of all things wonderful here in our neck of the woods… is the awesome music and artistic talent that is seemingly endless and so rich with diversity… we can find music just about anywhere… in many forms and venues… one not quite yet a destination but wonderful quietly kept venue is a place called Zen’s in San Leandro…  known amongst karaoke aficionados as the place to be on certain days of the week to trip the light fantastic and test out your vocal skills…  on the last Saturday of every month there is a live “local” band that performs for your dancing and listening enjoyment… Just this past Saturday we went to see SOB (Same Old Band)… one of the better Top 40 local bands in the Bay Area…. here’s a sampling for you… Enjoy My Friends!…

Good Morning My Wonderful Beautiful Bay Area!!….  There’s just something to be said about working with clients who pay attention to their purchase and any legislation that might affect their transaction…

First thing this morning received a call from a client in escrow… he just heard on the news that there may be another $10,000 tax credit for 1^st x homebuyers specific to the State of California… was this true and could we get included??…

Personally I hadn’t heard so after checking with my local board, CAR, other sources including CAR Legal… IN CASE YOU HAVENT HEARD  … there is indeed an extension that will go into effect sometime in May of this year which will give first time homebuyers an additional $10,000 tax credit from our great state of California! In addition to the $8,000 tax credit from the federal government…  if your buyers are in contract by April 30… This piece of legislation is very very good news !!… we’re advised to wait a few days for the details to come out…

Hellooooo My Beautiful Wonderful Bay Area!!…  Have been thinking about you lots… however my schedule became just a bit much with ‘To Do’s” lately…  Sunny bright days have been shining down upon us and I for one… feel re-energized!!…  rays of sunshine beaming down upon us does have that certain power it brings… Happy Just Happy Happy Days!!… Spring is just around the corner!

The days are passing by quickly … those of you still pondering whether to get into the home buying market your wonder days are slowly diminishing… you still have TIME TO GET INTO CONTRACT BY APRIL 30… (in order for you to qualify to get up to $8,000 in tax credits)… but you must be in contract by April 30!!… You still have time but times a wasting… Get Going Now!!… FHA interest rates are rumored to be heading upwards and the requirement minimun of 3 1/2% Down to get into a house is fast going to be a thing of the past… rumor is… its going to be a minimun of 5% down… Better let your fingers do the walking and get qualified NOW….

We have a double whammy to have a bright day today… Its a Day to Love and Be Loved and its the beginning of the Year of the Tiger!!…  The Chinese celebrate each new lunar year with an animal sign… 12 animals in all… every 12 years the same animal is welcomed for that year… there’s much meaning and celebration, optimism, hope and remembrance of the past… its a very exciting time for those whose birthdays falls within that year’s animal sign…

The Tiger is my sign… I’m very excited that its my year this year! its been 12 long years since it was the Year of the Tiger…  to make it memorable I had an opportunity to travel to the Kanchanaburi Province in Thailand and visit the Tiger Temple and commemorate this year with a foto with a Tiger!!!!!…   Very Very Special… Hope you enjoy this foto… and Enjoy this New Year along with other Tigers and myself… What sign are you?? Greetings My Beautiful Wonderful San Francisco Bay Area… Happy Sunday to you!!… the skies are a bit gray this morning but perhaps the sun will come out this afternoon… My Honey is a die-hard Raider Fan… like so many of you out there once a Raider Fan always a Raider Fan… right?!?x:??… Its been agony and rough for the die hard true and blue forever Oakland Raider Fan … my Honey included… he’s out the door yet again… with deep hopes that today will be a winning day… I sure hope so… for all the Raider DieHards, the Raider Nation, for the new quarterback, for the team, for the coach, I guess even Al Davis… but most of all for my Honey… I’m hoping the sun will surely shine on them today!!… Go Raiders!!!… Cheers…
