Hi Isi – I understand how you will miss your tree. We planted a plum tree when Miranda was born and a flower crabapple when Jackie was born. Miranda just turned 30! I love it when the trees flower – so fragrant – and in our NW climate it’s a brief flowering season so I am always thankful when we don’t have a storm that washes all the petals off the trees!

I do agree. I planted a magnolia tree when I first moved here and its now about 15 ft tall. I’m disappointed that its never bloomed, but it still amazes me that it grew from a seedling.

Who knew we could grow a tree that tall??… it was truly magical… I’m just sad about it… its been with us for many many years and now its no more… I think it just means more because we grew it from its baby stage. Elaine… not sure I want to attempt another tree… I think we’ll be moving to our last home before it could grow to its fullest potential… right now I’m thinking a wood arbor… not sure yet…

Wow-what a story! From a wedding favor to a huge tree. It sure shows that anything is possible and to everything there is a season. So sad to hear of your tree loss. It is almost like loosing a pet. So now for the big decision, what do you do with the void she left?
