Hi Elaine... I know what you mean about Barnes & Noble... that one at Jack London Square was the cornerstone store over there... I'm sad to see this happen... I think its definitely a sign of the times... the days of huge supersized stores dont make much economical sense these days... in an effort to bring more appeal to the area... JLS stakeholders and the City of Oakland are working hand in hand to continue to build and grow the area... in keeping with former Mayor Jerry Brown's agenda to rebuild the downtown - JLS area... I think to that end the area is moving in the right direction. Always appreciate your input and interaction with my blogs... please continue to do so and so will I... Thanks Elaine!

THANKS for providing positive news about the East Bay! It is nice to see that people still BELIEVE they can make a living in Oakland. :)
BTW - I was disappointed to read that Barnes & Noble at Jack London Square was closing! :( Hopefully, that area can come back.
THANKS FOR ALWAYS BEING SO POSITIVE, ISI!
